About K&G Lodge

Welcome to K&G Lodge a division of K&G Resort Incorporated, one of the premier fishing destinations in the world. We are home to the greatest fresh water fishery in the United States and where the sunsets are world renowned.

K&G was founded in 1984 as a charter fishing service after high stress corporate burnout attacked the owners Kris & Greg Gehrig. Upon realizing the world class caliber fishing that Lake Ontario offered and the lack of World Class Fishing Lodge Resort facilities available the Gehrig’s set their goals to be Lake Ontario's premier destination. The Oswego area was chosen by the couple as the best port on the lake. The fishing is world famous, the people are friendly, the activities are endless, and the water never ends.

The many wonderful aspects of Oswego are the rich history from Fort Ontario overlooking the lake to the H. Lee White Museum and Richardson Bates House depicting Oswego's culture as the busiest shipping and ship building port on the Great Lakes in the early 1900's. Oswego River is the Northern entrance of the Erie Canal leading to the Inter-Coastal Waterway! Oswego is also home to the Oswego Speedway and the beautiful SUNY Oswego College Campus. Oswego's Harborfest celebration showcasing in the waterfront occurs during the last weekend in July every year and is rated as one of the top 100 festivals in the U.S. With an annual snowfall exceeding 14 feet, snowmobiling and cross country skiing is just another highlight.

K & G Lodge expands in 2000 with the acquisition of Twin Pines Cabins and Campsites. As their business continued to expand the need for additional lodging also grew. K&G Lodge's expansion not only enabled K&G to accommodate their expanding lodging requirements but also allowed them to greatly enhance their services.

In 2005 Kris and Greg have added the Coup-de-guar to their business by building a beautiful new cedar and stone lodge. The new lodge incorporates 8 large upscale hotel style rooms with private corridors and entrances, a spectacular “Great Room” with full bar and restaurant. Huge trapezoid windows afford beautiful views of the surrounding property on one side and large outdoor patio leading to an in ground heated swimming pool on the other side. The warmth and décor rival even the greatest of lodges in North America.
